An heiress to the throne in a far away land, Laysha is on the run from an overpowering family and an arranged marriage. As a child of the night, Laysha hides in the shadows and lives in fear of one day being discovered and returned to the home she despises. Her piercing green eyes hold many secrets and she has never told anyone how she got here or what she encountered on her journey. To those who take the time to get to know her, Laysha is a friend. To everyone else, she is a mystery.

Laysha is a druidess, well known for her nature connected spells. She is the character of choice of a friend in Nannymud.

Update April 14th, 2004.

Yay! It's me! All I can say about this is WOW! Thank you very much for taking the time to work on this and I am honoured to feature on your page. You have an amazing talent - keep up the good work.
*hugs and kisses*
Laysha the happy druid of hazels.

:-) Cristina Marsi replies: "Hi Laysha 2 Thanks to you, for the good desc. A nice background history makes it more fun to draw 2"

Your trees are lovely Cristina, and you can certainly use watercolours. She is very good but there are a few anatomy problems, like her feet being too small and her face being flat. Also her bent leg seems to be bent in two places, at her knee and just behind her right leg?
The picture as a whole is very well presented though, you certainly do have talent, just work a bit more on your anatomy and you'll do well.

:-) Cristina Marsi replies: "Right, i have to work more on them. Thanks for appretiacion anyway 2"

My sweet Laysha.. I did not know she was this troubled. I can only hope she found refuge among us druids...
Lovely picture again 2 Makes me inspired to actually take some time to sit down and finally make some picture myself. Especially when one knows the character you have painted.. *beams and snuggles*

:-) Cristina Marsi replies: "Thank you, You are always so kind... Guess I'll have to work more on druids now 2 And again, sit down and paint, plenty of nannychars in waiting list and I'm too slow to do them all 12"

WOW! THIS IS SO AMAZING! it's so well drawn and the attention to detail is incredible. The face is a little small-you can't see much of the detail of the face which is real important. Love the story-very sad.

:-) Cristina Marsi replies: "Alas, faces are still my weak point... the more i worked on it the messier it became 10 Anyway, important as it may be, i wanted to work on the entire scene, not just to draw a portrait 2"

(first comment dance)This is amazing!!! Also Beautiful back story!

:-) Cristina Marsi replies: "Thank you 2 The story however is not mine, it was written by Laysha herself, the commisioner of this portrait 12 I just got inspiration from it and tried to put on paper what i saw in my mind."

This is really beautiful. I love your style, the free playful lines. Very nice composition and colouring, Cristina. 2

:-) Cristina Marsi replies: "Yup, it looks that the parts I did more freely and sketchy (trees, water...) came out better that those i spent a lot of time on (the elf girl face). Guess i need more practice 2 Anyway thanks for visiting and commenting 2 "

This is really beautiful - the story just adds to the feeling in the painting. It's so well done... just wonderful.

:-) Cristina Marsi replies: "Thank you, I'm happy I managed to reprofuce the feeling Laysha's story gave me 2"

Stunning! You have such a talent with both watercolor and colors in general. The color combination in the water looks wonderful and flows very nicely together. I love the high contrast in the color as well. It makes all of your work look so dramatic. Anyways, great picture!

:-) Cristina Marsi replies: "Thank you. The rendering of water is actually my current obsession. This is a pretty old picture, I hope i can do better now 2Thanks again for visiting and keep up drawing!"
