Oriole the Knightess of the Round Table (notice her famous sparkling yellow cloak) in a typical dragon-slaying-damsel-resquing situation.

I wanted to paint her as that sort of hermaphrodytes hero of baroque melodrama. So the huge horse and spear, the classical architecture of the temple, the bright landscape and the use of bright, almost impossible colours. I hope I managed somehow ;)
Watercolour and watercolour pencils on black ink drawing.

I love the colours and the details, even in such a small picture, very baroque looking.

So much energy..... So much imagination :^)

I know only too well how difficult it is to get the detail in when working on a small area....... can be very frustrating.

As Sofers sez, The atmosphere of the moment is captured so well Cristina.......... Well done :^)

:-) Cristina Marsi replies: "Thank you Mike 2 After looking at your gallery i feel quite ashamed of my work though 12"

Oooo! Great work Cristina!!! I love it. It would be perfect in a children's book, it's that kind of picture that makes your imagination work full time. The atmosphere is brilliant!

:-) Cristina Marsi replies: "Thanks Sophie 2 It was great fun to draw this one, full of details as it is. Too bad the original is just 24*33 so some things like the knight's face are really too roughly done."

I think the Damsel tied to the pillar is Ryant, the dragon must've taken a disliking to the bikini top though.

:-) Cristina Marsi replies: "*LOL* Don't be afraid of using your name, Binary 12 we all know you have a softness for that bikini 12"

Wow Cristina! =) I think this is one of your best artwork ever! It is so interesting, all the details, the feeling, the action, the colours... You can almost see how the horse is moving and how Oriole is giving the dragon its final blow.
I look forward to your next artwork! 2

Hugs from Morild

:-) Cristina Marsi replies: "Hi Morild, happy you like it 2 I had great fun painting it, and now I'm looking forward for Oriole's reaction 12"

I like how the Dragon's last thought is to try to protect it's horde (It is so believable that it would at the end cling/claw 2 to it's treasure chest)

I appreciate the maiden tied to the pillar - Now there is a damsel nicely clothed for Drig to save

Wow but that is such a big...

horse (what did you think I was going to say something else?)

I like the colours and the building detail.

:-) Cristina Marsi replies: "Hi Drig, happy you like it 2"
