A couple of months ago I picked up some horse books at Barnes and Noble in the bargain section, and they've been marvelously helpful in drawing horse anatomy. The funny thing about horses is they're relatively easy to draw, but difficult to draw well. Know what I mean? Anyway, keep it up. Cristina Marsi replies: "Yeah, I know, human anatomy has never been by stongest side, and now i need to learn to draw horses as well I do use reference books, but somehow it seems i need to learn more. I hope I improved from my first drawings at least "

I can read mines. *lol* Now on a more serious note - its wonderful! The colours used are good and the way you portrayed the Erlkönig is superb. The tree infront of the horse kinda bothers me - but its still a very good piece. Go you, you deserve a mods! Take care Jeste. Cristina Marsi replies: "Hehe, being two versions of same picture I didn't think i needed to add poem to both Happy you recognized it at first sight without help of title This means I managed to convey you right feelings "

I really like the style of it and how all the different colors go together. kudos and good job. plus, this deserves a mod! I will be surprised if it doesn't get one. Cristina Marsi replies: "Thank you! You are too kind "

I think I saw an illustration by Anton Pieck once and it seemed very cradled, this is very much in your face! Well done though!
| 3 Apr 2007 | John | Loading...Wow, what a great picture. You did really well with this one, and I'm definitely glad you decided to use colors. It's not very often that you see those hues in such a dramatic context.
However, I don't think that picture or any picture can harness the true essence of Goethe's "Der Erlkonig." In fact, I think most people fear to tread in that territory since Franz Schubert did in 1820.
It's always great to see a new take on it, though. Very good work.
